This isn't a family tree — it's a coupling map. Nobody in the villa is a stranger: every contestant was pulled out of another reality series, from Love Is Blind and Love Island USA to Married at First Sight, Too Hot to Handle and Squid Game: The Challenge. Then the couples get taken apart on purpose. Read the chart top to bottom: jade cards were there on night one, pink cards were sent in later off the board, and slate cards were gone before the finale. Gold ties are couples that lasted; pink dashed ties are couplings that came undone.
The format is simple once you see it. Everything confusing about this show comes from the cast, not the rules.
Singles pair themselves off in a villa. Couples play compatibility challenges, and the winning pair gets a private date plus control of the board — a lineup of new singles they can send in, aimed at whichever couple they'd like to see blow up. Anyone left without a match at the end of the night leaves. At the end, one couple is named the Match.
Every contestant is an alum of another series. This season pulled from Love Is Blind (US and UK), Love Island USA, Married at First Sight Australia, Too Hot to Handle, Temptation Island, Vanderpump Rules, Squid Game: The Challenge, Building the Band, Age of Attraction and Million Dollar Secret. The one exception is Jimmy Sotos, who came in without a reality show behind him.
The first board sent in Dave, Jimmy Sotos and Kayla, and four of the five opening pairs came apart within two episodes. Alison left Yamen for Jimmy Sotos; Yamen matched Natalie, which left Nick unmatched and out; Mackenzie left Chris for Dave; and Chris and Kayla, newly matched to each other, were voted out of the villa the same night.
Before episodes 6 and 7, every single who had already gone home — plus Danny, who never made it into the villa at all — returned for a mixer and one chance to match their way back in. Weston and Hashim did, and Kayla came back with them. Hashim matched Ally, which left Jimmy Presnell unmatched and out in episode 7 — until the last board sent him straight back and he and Ally re-matched.
DeMari Davis (Too Hot to Handle 6) and Marissa George (Love Is Blind US 7) matched on night one and never re-matched once. They also won the compatibility challenge twice, which handed them the board twice — so most of the season's re-shuffling was set in motion by the one couple that never shuffled.
Two later arrivals won it. Dave Hand came in on the episode-2 board and Sophie Willett on the episode-4 board; they matched immediately and stayed matched for the rest of the season, winning a compatibility challenge of their own in the finale week and then the final vote. Four couples finished behind them, unranked.
The confusion here isn't recycled family names — it's twenty people from eleven different franchises, several of whom share a first initial or a home show.
Episode 2 is literally titled “A Tell of Two Jimmys.” Jimmy Presnell came from Love Is Blind US 6 and was there from night one, matched with Ally. Jimmy Sotos arrived on the episode-2 board and matched Alison. Both reached the finale, in different couples.
Both came from the very same season — Love Island USA season 1. Yamen was in the villa from episode 1 and reached the finale with Natalie; Weston came in through the mixer in episode 6 and was gone by episode 8.
Three K names, three different origin shows. Kayla Richart — Too Hot to Handle 4. Kassy Castillo — Love Island USA 5. Katherine LaPrell — Too Hot to Handle 6. Kassy and Katherine both arrived on the episode-4 board and both left in episode 5.
DeMari Davis, Katherine LaPrell and Bri Balram all came out of the same season of the same show. DeMari went the whole way; Katherine lasted two episodes; Bri arrived on the final board and never matched.
Marissa George (Love Is Blind US 7) was half of the only couple that never changed. Mackenzie Bellows (Squid Game: The Challenge 2) matched Chris, then Dave, then lost Dave to Sophie and was out in episode 5.
Alison Ogden came from Building the Band and spent the season with Jimmy Sotos. Ally Lewber came from Vanderpump Rules and spent it with Jimmy Presnell — apart from one stretch in the back half when she matched Hashim.
All three came from Temptation Island season 9. Natalie Cruz reached the finale with Yamen; Hashim Moore came in at the mixer and left in episode 8; Danny Spongberg never got into the villa at all.
The winners, and the two people who were not there when the season started. Dave came from Married at First Sight Australia season 12 — the only Australian import — and Sophie from Love Is Blind: UK season 2, the only contestant from the British edition.
Temptation Island 9
Announced with the cast, but never brought into the competition. His only shot was the mixer in the back half of the season, where the eliminated singles could match their way in — and he didn't.

Everything on this page is what aired: who coupled with whom, which boards were played, who was eliminated when, and the finale result. These are real people rather than characters, so the chart deliberately stops at the finale: there is nothing here about anyone's life after the credits rolled.
