Love Is Blind · A Viewer's Companion
This is not a family tree — nobody here is related. It is a relationship map of Season 8, the Minneapolis season, and it answers the question the show never pauses to answer: who got engaged behind the wall, which of those engagements survived the month that followed, and what each person actually said on the wedding day. Colors mark the outcome; a gold tie marks an engagement made in the pods, and a dashed gold tie marks the two engagements that happened in the pods but were left out of the aired season.
Love Is Blind reruns the same machine every year, and the confusion is almost always about which stage a couple is in rather than who anybody is.
Singles date each other through an opaque wall in adjoining rooms — the pods. Nobody sees anybody. The only way out of the pods together is to get engaged sight unseen. Everyone else goes home. Engaged couples then meet, take a trip, move in together back in their home city, meet each other's families, and arrive at a wedding day roughly a month later.
Contestants rotate through many pod dates a day, so it is normal — and expected by the format — to be building two or three serious conversations in parallel. At some point each person has to close every door but one, and the show films the moment they do. That is why so much of the first half of a season is people ending things they only started a week ago.
All thirty-two singles were living in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area when the season was filmed, and several of them describe the dating pool there as small enough that everybody already knows — or has dated — everybody. It is the show's first season cast from the Twin Cities; earlier seasons drew on Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Houston, Charlotte and Washington, D.C.
Five couples left the pods engaged on screen. One ended before the wedding day — Lauren and David. Four reached the altar. Only Taylor and Daniel both said yes and married on the show; Virginia and Devin, Monica and Joey, and Sara and Ben each ended the day unmarried.
At the altar, Devin said yes and Virginia said no. Monica said no, and Joey said he felt the same way. Sara said no to Ben. Sara and Virginia each explained on screen that they and their partners were not aligned on values and on how they talked about the world outside the relationship. The season drew a lot of comment for it; this chart records what was said and leaves the argument alone.
Kylie and Brian, and Brittany and Mo, also got engaged in the pods, but neither engagement was included in the final cut of the season; both were confirmed publicly around the time it aired. They sit in the pods panel here because, as far as the broadcast goes, that is where they stayed.
This cast has four M-named women, three D-named men, a Ben and a Benji and a Brian, and a Mo who is not a Molly. A short field guide.
Monica Danús is the one who reached the altar, with Joey. Madison Errichiello, Meg Fink and Molly Mullaney all left the pods without an engagement.
Mo Ndiaye is a man — a property manager — who got engaged in the pods off camera. Molly and Monica are two different women with two very different endings.
Daniel Hastings married Taylor. David Bettenburg was engaged to Lauren and it ended before the wedding. Devin Buckley reached the altar with Virginia and said yes.
Ben Mezzenga reached the altar with Sara. Brian Sumption got engaged off camera, to Kylie. Benji Smith is a third man entirely, and did not get engaged.
Brittany Dodson is the one engaged off camera, to Mo. Brad Morgan, a dentist, left the pods unengaged and is not on the chart.
Taylor Haag is the only bride who married on the show. Tiera Shavone and Tom Dann both left the pods unengaged.
Both said no at the altar on the same finale, which is why they get conflated. Sara Carton answered Ben; Virginia Miller answered Devin.
Three separate men — Adam Bevis, Alex Brown and Andrew Cole — who all left the pods without an engagement, and so appear nowhere on the chart.
They appear in every season and belong to none of the couples.

Co-host and the one who most often sits down with the couples between stages. She and Nick are married to each other, which the show mentions roughly once an episode.

It reports only what aired: who got engaged in the pods, which engagement ended before the wedding day, and what each person answered at the altar. It stops at the wedding day.
