Love Island USA · A Viewer’s Companion

Thirty-four islanders, six recouplings, one villa. Here’s who was with whom, and when.

Love Island isn’t a family tree — it’s a relationship map that redraws itself every few nights. Season 8 opened with five couples, then spent a month tearing them apart: bombshells walked in and took people, America voted on who got paired with whom, and Casa Amor split the villa in two. This chart follows the season in three stages — pink borders are the Day 1 islanders, orange are the bombshells who arrived after them, turquoise are the Casa Amor arrivals — and shows every couple as a gold tie with the day it formed.

Hover over any portrait to enlarge it. Each card carries the islander’s first name, then their surname and the day they walked into the villa, then the age and hometown they gave on the show, then how their season ended. Gold ties are couples, labelled with the day they formed; a dashed gold tie is a couple that later broke; the coloured dashed arrows point from a new arrival up to the couple their recoupling broke apart. The gold heart marks the eight islanders who reached the Day 32 final. Covers Season 8 only, and only what aired.

Five things that explain the whole season

If you dipped in and out and lost the thread, this is the thread.

The format

Everybody has to be in a couple

Islanders live in couples, and every few days there’s a recoupling where they pick again. Whoever is left over is dumped — sent home that night. That’s the whole engine of the show: Sean went out on Day 6 for being single, and Jen went out on Day 25 for the same reason. Sometimes the islanders choose, sometimes the public vote does, and sometimes the couples vote each other out.

The disruptors

What a “bombshell” is

A single islander who arrives after the first coupling and is free to take anyone. Season 8 had four waves of them: Kayda and Gabriel on Day 2, Corbin on Day 5, then Caleb, Jen and Sol on Day 7. Two of the five opening couples were broken by bombshells within seventy-two hours — Kayda picked Zach off Kenzie, Gabriel picked Beatriz off Sean.

The midpoint

Casa Amor, Days 16–20

The villa splits. The boys move to a second villa (Casa Amor) full of new girls; new boys move in with the girls left behind. In a franchise first, Season 8 sent in twelve new boys and six new girls. On Day 20 both sides recouple blind — stick with your partner, or twist for someone new, without knowing what the other half chose.

The turn

The biggest recoupling of the season

Day 20 reset almost everything. Aniya stayed loyal to KC; KC twisted for Tierra, and Aniya walked back into the villa single. Kenzie left Corbin for Dylan, Corbin picked Parmida, Caleb picked Jaiden and Jen picked Gal. Only three couples stuck: Bryce and Trinity, Melanie and Sincere, Kayda and Zach. Six Casa islanders who nobody chose were dumped.

The result

Who won

Bryce and Trinity won on Day 32 — the only pair in the villa who coupled up on the very first night and never recoupled with anybody else. Aniya and Carl came second, having only got together on Day 25, a week before the final. Melanie and Sincere were third, Kayda and Zach fourth.

Names people mix up

A one-line telling-apart for the pairs of islanders that sound alike.

Kayda vs. Kenzie

Two K-names in the same storyline. Kenzie was Zach’s Day 1 partner; Kayda walked in on Day 2 and picked Zach on Day 3, leaving Kenzie single. Kayda and Zach finished fourth.

Carl vs. Caleb vs. Corbin vs. KC

Four C-names, four different entrances. KC was there Day 1. Corbin was the Day 5 bombshell. Caleb was a Day 7 bombshell. Carl came out of Casa Amor on Day 17 and finished as runner-up with Aniya.

Sol vs. Sincere

Not a couple by choice. Sol was a Day 7 bombshell (a girl); Sincere was a Day 1 islander (a boy). America paired them on Day 10, which is the only reason the names sit next to each other.

Amora vs. Aniya

Aniya was a Day 1 girl who ended the season as runner-up. Amora was a Casa Amor girl who entered Day 16, was dumped Day 20, returned Day 21, and was dumped again on Day 25.

Gal vs. Gabriel

Gabriel was a Day 2 bombshell who took Beatriz off Sean, then went out on Day 14. Gal was a Casa Amor boy who entered on Day 17 and was dumped on Day 25.

Tierra vs. Trinity

Trinity is the Day 1 islander who won the season with Bryce. Tierra is the Casa Amor girl KC twisted for on Day 20; they were dumped together on Day 30.

Jen vs. Jaiden

Both arrived after Day 1 and both went out on Day 25. Jen was a Day 7 bombshell; Jaiden was a Casa Amor girl who entered on Day 16 and coupled with Caleb.

Beatriz vs. Bryce

Same first letter, opposite seasons. Beatriz was a Day 1 girl dumped on Day 10 after the public vote reshuffled the couples. Bryce was a Day 1 boy who never left a couple and won.

Covers Love Island USA Season 8 (Peacock, 2 June – 12 July 2026), and that season only. Everything on this page is what happened on screen: who coupled with whom and on which day, who recoupled, who was dumped and when, and where each couple finished on Day 32 — plus the age and hometown each islander gave on the show. These are real people rather than characters, so the page deliberately stops at the final: it records nothing about anyone’s life after the villa. Season 8 had thirty-four islanders in total; the twenty-three shown here are the ones whose couplings shape the season. Portraits are the cast photos from the Love Island Wiki, self-hosted.
